Sleep quality and athletic performance according to chronotype

Abstract Background When studying the quality of sleep in relation to athletic performance, athlete’s chronotype and habitual time consider important factors. We aim investigate athletes’ performance according elite athletes. Methods Three hundred forty athletes (males = 261, females 79) were recruited for present study. All participants screening by Korean versions Morningness - Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ-K). The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT) measurement after screening. Results PSQI global score, quality, onset latency, disturbance, daytime dysfunction significant differences among groups.
